Here is my post for the move. I put in lots of pictures but I can only
find the captions. Katie may have to fix this if it doesn't work.... Kris.
Step 1 - Disassemble |
Well, it didn't rain and it didn't really shine and it was plenty chilly for 9am - but what a wonderful day! Thanks, Sherry L. for getting us off to a good start with donuts, juice and milk. The wonderful One Heart Vols came to help. Everything had to be disassembled, taken out, loaded into some form of conveince, driven to the new barn, and unloaded. Following a grab n' go lunch of pizza, the crew was dispatched to the Lager house for more One Heart stuff; essentials such as harness, saddles, surcingles, etc.
Eileen took one look at the inside of the hoop barn and decided she needed to bring a bigger trailer. Good thing! All tolled, we had 21 people, 5 trucks, and 3 big trailers (and some trunks) packed for the trip from Stagecoach. Super duper thanks to Eileen and Mark, Laura, Carla and David, Jen's mom and dad, Khrystal (a brand new volunteer!), Jordan, Katie, of course, Kelly, Gaila, Peggy, Benn Anna, Ania, Tess and Hannah. There was also mystery vol #1 and mystery vol #2 - young ladies so bundled up and so busy I didn't get a chance to figure out who they were (please let us know!!)
Disassembling the Lift |
Dani and her crew from last week had the activity center spic and span......we kinda tracked it up...
Jen even had some of her scouters come. The One Heart crew was like a well-oiled machine; lifting, carrying, carting, pushing, pulling, unbolting, shoving, loading and organizing. It is all at the new barn ready to be cleaned and put away. That is going to be the real fun! Just let me know any evening or daytime you would like to "play tackroom" and we will set something up. Here are some of the pics.
Step 2: Move it all out of the hoop |
Step 3: Find a place for it to get packed up. Jordan, on the right, "I was here when we put up the hoop, now the day we are moving". |
Giddy- Up |
Arrived in the new arena. Time to unload. |
Arranging the ramp |
I think it would work better over here.... |
I've heard of rearranging the furniture but.....really! |
