Remember March, 2008? Snow, cold, and windchill faced a few hardy and intrepid volunteers who gathered to start assembling the hoop barn that was to become our tack room, toy room, carriage storage, ramp shelter, and "headquarters". After our first six hours working in a high of 18 (not counting windchill) the learned and knowledgeable crew deciphered the instruction booklet and finished the day with one end and one set of "ribs" standing. It was a big day.
Over the next 30 days we assembled, adjusted, fit tarp, filled flooring, adjusted, and moved equipment. With a glowing heart Kris, Jennifer and Dani played "tack room". We played "tack room" as other children play "house". For the first time in seven years we were able to have at hand and in sight, centrally located and adjacent to the arena all of the tack, toys, equipment, carts, hardware, paperwork, the ramp, helmets, horse health supplies, and the whole collection of "other stuff".
